Egypt: 7000 years strong nation aganist terrorism by Hunter-Wolf Egypt: 7000 years strong nation aganist terrorism by Hunter-Wolf
Hi all, here i pictured Egypt as a strong beautiful woman ready for war with terrorism, standing behind her are the three main cultures that form it's identity, Ancient Egypt, Coptic Egypt and Islamic Egypt, the blue color streaks represent the river Nile Egypt life line as on its banks the Ancient Egyptian Civilization flourished, the sword and shield represent Egypt's Army and Police, the Green strips on her necklace represent the crop fields of Egypt, the red ones is the blood of Egyptians lost to defend this land and keep it prosperous, the earrings represents a unity between the two major religions in Egypt, Islam and Christianity .. as an Egyptian i'm quite proud of my country's heritage and history whether it's Ancient Egypt, Coptic Egypt or Islamic one, But sometimes it takes a dire crisis to make one realize how important that appreciation is, as we are now in Egypt facing a threat of terrorism and fanaticism that threatens that very identity of Egypt.

And due to that war with terrorism here it's natural that nationalism is at its highest in Egypt nowadays, ever since the recent revolution of 30th of June 2013 that ousted the fanatical regime of the Muslim Brotherhood they have been rampaging, lying and waging a war of propaganda and terror against Egyptians, and thanks to our police and army they managed to suppress the efforts of those terrorists to burn Egypt and plunge it into chaos, and don't think it's a simple local war against local terrorism, they waged that war with help from their local fanatical terrorist friends, international branches of the Muslim brotherhood organization who have huge resources and connections, Obama's administration and a couple of European regimes who made deals with the Muslim brotherhood organization, and several media outlets they have control or influence over.

The terrorism of the fanatical Muslim Brotherhood aside, my point is there is no denying that each era/culture has it's great moments and downfalls but the thing is whenever Egyptians feel comfortable towards a new incoming culture they accept it, integrate it into their lives, history and culture and it even give it their own flavor.. if they don't accept it they shortly expel it and not much trace is left of it, a lot of Egyptians understand that and appreciate all of Egypt history and culture, but sadly some others don't appreciate that nor understand it like i said before about the Muslim Brotherhood and their terrorist allies, their actions are filled with pure hatred, discrimination and prejudice to anyone who doesn't share their beliefs or views, but terrorism is always short-lived and as soon as people realize how dangerous those people really are they are expunged and besieged .. but every war has it's costs, and at a time like this nationalism and patriotism are at an ever high ... i had to express that in some way, and i hope i didn't cause you a headache with all that ranting.

Have a nice day and wish us luck.

Some day, Egypt will once more prosper, without interference by the brotherhood's goons. A Swede wishes you luck.

Excellent drawing! I really hope sometime in the future all Egyptians (Muslim/Christian) can come together, rise up and take back their country from the despotic government.

We did take down the fanatical Muslim-Brotherhood government, but we are still dealing with the messy aftermath, they had very strong connections with several terrorist groups in the region and their members are brainwashed cash-cows who run several businesses inside and outside Egypt so uprooting something like that will take some time and won't be without struggle, and the increased activity of said terrorist groups in countries around Egypt doesn't make it easier .. either way i really appreciate your comment and wishes .. Egyptian Muslims and Christian (and hopefully every Egyptian regardless of their ethnicity or faith) still stand united and as one.

Wow, that's really a beautifull and strong allegory ! Egypt has long been a model in the Arabic world, a model of high culture, modernism and freedom... some times ago I watched on youtube where Nasser laughs, and all the audience laughs with him because the chief of the Muslim Brothers (that shit is sooo old) wanted the women to be veiled. I hope Egypt will shake these parasites and regain her leading role as a symbol of enlightment and freedom.

Hail Nekhbet and Wadjet !

Thanks a lot for your thoughtful comment, that video you spoke of is one of my fav for Nasser, he truly was the people's man .. may he rest in peace.

Hopefully we will get rid of those parasites soon, and i hope European countries regimes and the USA regime would stop supporting these parasites and giving them shelter, media support and money becasue eventually it will back-fire and they will bite the hand that fed them like they always do, every European and American citizen has a responsibility to demand that their government stop funding and supporting those fanatical terrorists under false fabricated pretexts.

I pray for you all, and the Christians the most, due to the persecutions and burnings of churches.  I hope your army remembers that it exists to protect the people, and I hope that your people can have a free republic in which their wishes, rights, and freedom are respected in peace.

Thanks, and i agree that the our fellow Egyptian Christians got the short stick in this conflict, those Muslim brotherhood fanatical terrorists caused a lot of trouble for them and burned many churches and houses, but now the army and police are working hard to trim down all the activity of those fanatical terrorists of the Muslim brotherhood and rebuild the churches, houses, police stations and public buildings they burned.

The army is protecting the law abiding citizens and normal people, sure there are shortcomings and mistakes here and there but their role is undeniable and their burden is great .. the Muslim brotherhood are tenacious, despicable and deceitful and dealing with them has been always a pain in the neck of all rulers of Egypt.

As for reaching that republic we dream of, the army and new temp government are overseeing the new Constitution being made by all the civil movements and members of society, after that we will have presidential and Parliament elections (just hope the Muslim brotherhood won't be able to ruin it, you just can't imagine the amount of hatred and malice they have for Egypt, for the normal people who aren't members in the brotherhood and for the army/police).

Either way thanks for reading and best wishes for you too.

You have the courage and the wisdom to be free--I hope you get the chance.  Unlike a lot of Americans, I don't think it was necessarily wrong of your army to move against the Muslim Brotherhood--rewriting the laws so that you can break them is just a slow-motion coup, Turkey kept itself free for a long time that way, and now Erdogan has moved to cripple the army so he can make Turkey an Islamicist state. Your art reflected an EGYPTIAN identity, and I share with you the hope that that will matter enough to let your nation attain true freedom and greatness.
