Elvida .. born in a long line of witches and to one of the biggest families that carry the tradition of witch-hood she was trained to use magic since childhood and had great potential .. but on her initiation ceremony (by the age of 12) she proclaimed witch-hood (which had strict rules and regulations) to be very boring and escaped creating the biggest possible mess in her wake (they say half the audience in the ceremony were turned into frogs and bats and the ceremonial tower got destroyed).

She was always ambitious and rebellious but no one thought she would dare rebel like that, now the high council of witches is on her tail and want to bring her back and punish her for her transgressions (usually its death sentence but her family has connections), but she was nowhere to be found.

Elvida lived a sheltered life in her family's estate studying magic all the time ... so once she left her country she decided to go and see the whole world and learn about everything in it ... and ventured where no one dared go before .. not only to other countries and mystic long lost places .. but also to other worlds .. and she developed her own brand of runic magic during her travels.

But surprisingly she found out that she isn't good at too many things other than magic .. so she thought in order to earn a living she has to attack travelers and steal from them ... she later learned about pirates and what they do .. she decided to change her outfit and raiding style to that of a pirate ... using her magic powers to raid trade ships and all sorts of lofty passenger ships (an endeavor that usually ends with half the crew or more turned into frogs)

With time she collected a small fortune and it wasn't about making a living anymore .. She became addicted to the thrill of raiding and pirating ... she enjoyed being feared by both people and even pirates (who both gave her the nickname "blackbones") .. and while she doesn't kill anyone who doesn't assault her she likes to toy around with people and turn them temporarily into frogs or bats with her "Nyxa" magic spells.

She also doesn't stay in one place for too long .. she travels all around ... back and forth ... from and to other worlds ... all while collecting artifacts and learning new things.

From times to times she wondered why she didn't use her magic powers for good ... but she realized she never motivated to do it and found it pretty boring beyond description ... she also knew that it's probably due to her family spoiling her and never paying much attention to her emotions turning her into a selfish greedy girl .. and she knows it's too late to change that ... still .. when she is in a good mood she could lend a hand or help out some poor/helpless people .. but word spread that people who ask for her help should be warned from her twisted sense of humor and sly attitude.


As for Xeel .. he is her pet .. he was once a powerful demon versed in magic who challenged her to a magic battle after she broke into his realm and stole some stuff .. the battle was so fierce that the both almost died .. and in a last minute move Elvida made a contract that tied their fates to each other and saved both their lives.

But her sly nature made her turn Xeel into a "devil" fish during the process .. Xeel didn't accept that at first but he knew that he owes her his life ... so he accepted her wicked nature and decided to stick around with her and see what happens .. but Elvida never stops cruelly mocking, teasing and using him all the time.

About Escoba (Her sword)
-She usually uses her sword as a ride -like a broom- in either sword or cannon form (actually escoba means "Broom" in Spanish), as for the runes on it, they are Slypha "air" runes that give it the flight ability (engraved runes give permanent effects), And the charm on the chain attached to the sword has the "Alcha" runes that transform the sword into a cannon .. but she sometimes rides on top of Xeel just to piss him off.

How she handels the loot
-By using "Alcha" magic (a form of alchemy) she can transform the loot (gold, magical artifacts, rare treasures) into much smaller and lighter objects she can carry around in a bottle/s, but it takes some time to do and undo the effect (she does buy herself time by turning everyone on the ship into frogs) ... as to why she doesn't just turn stuff into gold using her "Alcha" magic .. it is an extremely slow and tedious process that could take months/years .. thus "Alcha" is mostly used to alter the properties of something (size, weight, density, shape) than change one material into another.

How her magic works
There are two ways of using her runic magic, either by engraving the runes (gives permanent effect) or by drawing the simple runic symbols on air or on an object using her fingertips (after snapping her fingers as a form of initiation) .. the finger snapping can also be used to switch the effect of permanent runes on and off (by touching the object first then snapping).. there are few limitations though ... the runic magic uses her bodily energy as a source to power the spells .. so if she overuses her magic she could end up fainting or even dead .. it can be restored by eating and sleeping/resting .. not to mention most her spells either are very short ranged or require her to directly be touching the target.

Another example of her magic is the runic symbols on her chest and on Xeel .. the one on her chest (and Xeel's chest as well) is the one that ties their lives together so that if she dies he dies and vice versa (side effect of the same "Nyxa" spell she used to save their lives) and the ones on Xeel's wings are the ones responsible for his current form .. he could turn back if he tears his wings .. but he will die in the process (and he doesn't want to die) .. it is also rumored that Elvida actually has other runes engraved on her body that are hidden under her clothes .. but no one knows what they do.

The bottles
The bottles are either used to store shrank objects or magical liquids .. the magical liquids have various effects .. some she can drink or give to someone to drink ... and there is one magical liquid that she can dip her fingers in before drawing the runes in order to conjure powered up versions of her spells and improve their range but it takes a lot to time to make and she has limited amounts of.



She still travels around hungry for trouble, adventures, knowledge and all sorts of new things.
