The Backstory
As mentioned in the introduction of "Witchcraft", Prof.Adam is a well-liked, hardworking, and genius inventor, he likes to invent all sorts of things (mechanical limbs, steam powered bikes, factory fabricators, fans, .. etc etc) ... and his good nature made him very beloved among the poor and weak in his city ... he actually used the money he got from selling some of his inventions to the rich and to industrial companies in order to develop some inventions for free to the poor people in his city (not to mention he was already rich by birth and his parents were aristocrats).

Here he was on his way home using his iconic steam bike that everyone in the city recognizes .. he spent the day helping the farmers on the outskirts of the city clean their fields from harmful creatures that ruin the crops by using his new insecticide-sprayer (he made both the sprayer and the insecticide) .. which is by the way the same device he turned into a flame-thrower later on.

But on the way to his house and near one of the biggest squares in his city, he saw a sight that has been haunting him in all his nights for the past months, the "Hammers of Justice" daily public executions of witches .. they gather women accused of being witches and after 2-3 days of public display the accused women get burned alive in-front of everyone .. deep inside his heart Adam knew there is a possibility many of those women are actually innocent .. but there is no way to disprove a woman is a witch .. and a hundred to prove she is.

Then one day something will happen that will change everything for Prof.Adam and make him decide to take a stand aganist the "Hammers" risking everything to set things right. <more on that in the near future>
